CHRISTINE LEE | Founder


Christine Lee
is the Founder and Director of OPENART Advisory + Projects and of Christine Lee Art Advisory, art advisories for private collectors, corporate and hospitality clients. She has over ten years of experience in the art industry in various roles including gallery director, curator, senior art advisor, senior project manager, and Vice President of an art consulting firm based in NYC. Previously, she worked in branding for corporations and luxury fashion labels. Christine works with HNWI and emerging collectors in building their private and corporate art collections in addition to working on art & curatorial projects with corporations and brands. Furthermore, she trained and held numerous positions in international art galleries such as Haunch of Venison of Christie's, Arario Gallery, Martos Gallery, and SUN Contemporary which allowed her to gain an in-depth knowledge of the global art market.

She is also an art journalist covering international art news to 3 publications; Art Radar, The Culture Trip and Forbes, writing about contemporary art, Asian contemporary art & investing in art. In 2021, she was invited by UNESCO’s Art Collection team to contribute to UNESCO’s 75th Anniversary Publication with a video presentation for the celebratory event at their headquarters in Paris, France. Since 2022, Christine has been teaching a virtual course for Christie’s Education programme in London, where she studied in 2007 and 2008.

Christine holds a Masters in Communications Design with a concentration in Branding and Digital Animation from Pratt institute, a BA in Comparative Literature, and studied Modern and Contemporary Art, Connoisseurship and History of the Art Market from Christie’s in New York, and Curating from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. She also obtained Certificates in Art Journalism and Curating.
